The ribbon cutting ceremony for Newark Liberty New Terminal A was held Thursday, November 15, 2022.

New Jersey Governor, Phil Murphy joined local and state leaders to mark the milestone in the airport's $2.7 billion transformation slated to open to the public on January 2023.

High ceilings, airy light-filled concourses, and an array of eclectic artwork from New Jersey artists fill Terminal A which will handle nearly 14 million passengers annually with 33 gates spread out over 1 million square feet.
